The tapestry of this story in the weaving of the colors and symbols is made more beautiful to the viewer through their own personal connection…she looks as though she is about to set out on a quest…and her guardians are ready to protect and guide her.

Darkness is the home of fears, and because cats can see effectively in the dark, they are independent…and the dark becomes a place where magic and mystery come alive. The blue jay is a member of the crow family and most crows have no fear. Because the jay is fearless, it can help her to connect with the deepest mysteries and teach her the proper use of power.

The coral talisman…protecting that which we have given birth to and also reflecting a need to be more protective of the child within. Coral reminds us that there is protection around us, but children need some exposure to growth to mature.

No matter what the story is, we have all been there at some point in our lives…or will be. The visual connection made is one of ‘knowingness’…

    Beautiful, Maria.
