‘The Cardinal’s Song’ Has Been Chosen…

…as October’s MONTHLY give away! It won by a whopping 52%! The other two were divided pretty equally, although I noticed that the ‘Dreaming Inspiration’ people were less vocal than the ‘I Talked To A Crow’ people. No matter, the winner has been chosen.

SO here is the deal, you write a comment on this blog entry and then, at the end of October, I will have a draw and the winner will be mailed a 6″x8″ OOAK fine art reproduction of ‘The Cardinal’s Song’. Cool huh? And so easy! So do it now!

I would LOVE to win this print! I think of you every time I see a Red Bird on our deck now (which is quite often) …so if you feel a Disturbance in the Force every now and again, it is simply some kind thoughts floating your way from a back porch in the swamps of Florida! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’d love to be able to do that with my gorgeous cardinals. For now, though, I have to content myself with watching them through my window as they perch atop one of my sunflowers and then swivel down head first into the yummy sunflower seeds. Sometimes they stay perched on their toe hold for minutes as they enjoy their breakfast.

I love this painting. The reds are so cheerful and her cheeks just pop as if it were a chilly winter morning. The hat reminds me of one my sister wore at that age, and they accentuate the innocent and gorgeous eyes. The skin tones remind me of Renoir. I love how her hair wisps into her coat and disappears. The turquoise scarf and background are a beautiful compliment to the red. Such a delicate painting of hope.

    Hey Maria,
The colors you use in you work are moving to me. You capture innocence perfectly.

You and Chris have a very beautiful family and I hope someday I can meet the whole unit.

First snow in Tugaske. The morning doves call. Little girl with Cardinal.
Would look great on my wall.
