Mixed Media Artist

Her Courage

5″x7″ Mixed media painting on canvas covered canvas. The sides are 1.5″ deep and are painted red.

This painting is SOLD

Trying to gather her strength and make it my own.  Can you conjure up courage? It is worth a try.  I have nothing in particular to be strong about, to be courageous about.   I think that having all this time to paint. Time I am not use to having , has made me over think stuff. I am not stealing time, anymore. It is laid out in front of me ….in expectation of what I am going to do with it.

To. Much. Pressure.

So I am just trying to fill this time one second at a time and nothing else.  Staying present is the strongest position one can take when wrestling with time. Oh, and having fun. Staying present and having fun is very helpful indeed.

  2. Oh! This one has to be my new favorite. You are so brilliant with your colors! I LOVE how bright that orange is…especially next to those more subtle blues. So beautiful!

  3. I understand that to much time is just as threatening as not enough time. Just remember, “Art is the imagination at play”, so go play and have a good time.

  5. Maria, just a short note to pass the time. Your painting world is so lovely, with such subtle bold color and whimsy you fill me with a smile always, although some may have been done while sad. I do not know.
