Mixed Media Artist

Is That Spring I See?

10″x12″ mixed media painting on stone paper covered wood cradle. The sides are 1.5″ deep and are red.

This painting is available HERE.

I don’t really see spring.

At all.

There is snow up to my doggies belly (an Australia Cattle dog).

And more coming.

The days are getting longer though and day lights saving is this weekend  so I know that spring is near (well nearer).

Anyway, I am making my own spring in my studio even though out my windows, I am surrounding by a winter wonderland.

Maria this is enchanting. I love her yellow cap sleeves that just scream of spring. Like an Easter frock. And the tulips. Heavy with petals that make them seem like such a contrary flower. Cheerful in colour but drooping with melancholy. That is the perfect “in season” flower for our northern spring. And what I love most about this painting and all of your paintings lately is that fine black line. I do love contrast and give me a true black any day to delight my eyes. Love love love that black. Ps Love you too. But you already know that.
