I guess it depends on how you define beauty. Does it have to be all about youth? I look in my garden during the winter and just love the way the snow sits on all the faded and dried flowers that I have neglected (on purpose) to remove. The sunflowers and Hops are my favorite.
This painting is more about the faded garden, when all the colours of summer having drained away leaving beautiful tea stained vines, dried pods and crepe like flowers.
I’ve been feeling a little faded lately, but then, I just put on my red lipstick. Remember, in the winter, there are many faded trees that are adorned with beautiful red berries.
