How to Timeraise
A Brief Timeraiser History
Timeraiser was conceptualized in 2002 in response to a group of friends wondering how it could be easier to find meaningful, relevant volunteer opportunities.National expansion of the program began in 2006 with the 1st Calgary Timeraiser. A strategy was then developed for further growth with 2 cities added in 2008 – Vancouver and Ottawa – and an additional 2 in 2009 – Hamilton and Edmonton. We plan to reach 10 cities by 2012 – including Montreal and Halifax. This expansion was conceptualized with manageable, meaningful growth being a priority – how to grow rather than why to grow. The focus remained on nurturing vital local partnerships, engaging enthusiastic and skilled local volunteers while going deeper into existing cities. We have been able to incorporate our experiences from each city to empower local teams of volunteers, building on our collective knowledge and skills. Our experience has been that the Timeraiser’s success is directly linked fostering partnerships with local organizations and empowering local volunteers with the tools, information and opportunity to support to the program.

Art Trends is Canada’s arts magazine with a special interest in the arts. A full color, high gloss magazine, with issues released in spring, summer and winter. Bringing artists and buyers together, one profile at a time.
We are a group of individuals who look forward to waking up everyday; imagine having a team, an entire team that looks forward to waking up everyday because every one of them is getting to do what they love to do. When you do what you really love of course you’re going to be good, it’s when you do things you think you should love that prevents you from shining. We were fortunate enough to choose the right people for the right positions. We want to encourage all of you to learn who people are, ask what they would love to do, and give them the opportunity to shine. They too will look forward to waking up everyday and we’ll all sit around and talk about the new Art Trends magazine.
Available in major markets across Canada, and distributed to subscribers across North America, as well as online. Join our more than 451,000 readers as we enter year 8 of Art Trends.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or comments in general for Art Trends please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We would love to hear from you. And, as a special thank you for your support of the arts, we would like to give you a link to our current Summer 2012 issue. Please enjoy it, and spread the word.

|“By the time we are women, fear is as familiar to us as air. It is our element. We live in it, we inhale it, we exhale it, and most of the time we do not even notice it. Instead of “I am afraid,” we say, “I don’t want to,” or “I don’t know how,” or “I can’t.””|
| Andrea Dworkin quotesImogen’s first day at school they had a funeral for all of their ‘I can’t’s’.
They wrote “I can’t” on a piece of paper and their teacher buried them.
