This little princess of mine is turning 11 on Thursday. She is not your average princess and I can’t help but thinking  that dandelions might just be her cup of tea.  She is exasperating, unpredictable and absolutely amazing and she has always been those things.  At the beginning I felt like I couldn’t figure her out, and one day I would understand and know her better. Now I realize, not always being able to figure her out IS knowing her. She loves dandelions just because no one else does. That is just the way she is. We have an enormous amount of dandelions right now so she is  happy as is  Jack, our tortoise, because he loves to eat them! Happy days.

Happy Birthday Scarlett, I love you so much.

If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn. ~Andrew Mason

Peonies

SOLD 10″x20″ mixed media painting on wood.

My peony looks small still but it is growing stronger everyday. It is always such a pleasant surprise to see which plants made it through our long cold winter.
