Her Journey, Still On Going
This is a 8″x16″ Open edition OOAK fine art reproduction on archival bamboo paper mounted on a 8″x16″ wooden stretcher. Inks are fully archival.
Sides are 1.5″ and are painted red. This is a embellished and mounted 8″x16″ fine art reproduction. I make these individually and they are signed front and back and are ready to hang.
Smaller sizes and flat prints available upon request.
I wrote the following about this painting at the time of its completion:
I have to remember that it is her journey. Not mine.
I have my own journey.
I can’t tell her what her journey is anymore than can she can tell me what mine is.
I have to move forward and let her move forward too.
My hear aches a little just thinking about this seperation.
Sadness fills me and I feel no joy. Just fear. I know this is not right but it is honest.
STOP! I want to shout. Just stop. I need more time. Just a little more time. It went so fast. It is going too fast. You are my baby still.
But no, you are almost 12 and I feel you slipping away.
Yes, you can sleep in my bed tonight.
A moment. Another moment.
Reprise.
For just one more moment.
