My redhead returns. She always comes to me when I feel a little lost or am struggling with inspiration. She is a springboard for me. A way to keep creating, keep moving forward. It’s funny how looking back can help us move forward sometimes. It’s not good to look back for too long, never to dwell but sometimes it is what we need in order to repel ourselves forward.
Mixed media painting on wood. The sides are 1.5″ deep and are painted midnight blue.
This is my first painting of 2019. The cold doesn’t seem to bother her but let me tell you, it is cold in my studio. I am trying to be productive but it is slow going. I have set up my wall for my upcoming online Auction in March and I am working on my workshop video for PYHAS2019. There is no time to doddle! (Nothing like setting goals to put the fire under your butt, hey, maybe THAT will warm up my studio LOL.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice winter holiday and a lovely New Year celebration. Ours was very low key, which was fine with me. The best gift I got was that everyone stayed well for the entire break. BEST. PRESENT. EVER.
I look forward to our upcoming year together. It’s going to be filled with lots of new challenges, facing fear and doing it anyway and my biggest struggle, remembering to stay in the moment.
Wishing you love and health to you and all of your loved ones.
